Yesterday, I had a busy day, then felt like crap when I finally got home at like 9. So I went to bed. How come my cold is not TOO bad during the day but by like 6:00 PM, it starts getting really bad?

Anyway, I took this yesterday (the whole pic is really sweet, but I think you can see too much of the kid and I don't want to post pics of kids who aren't my "own", But anyway, how cute is this little hand?

Art Institute Mural

This mural is huge. It's painted on the side of a building on Raymond Avenue, a couple blocks from Vassar College. This building used to house my favorite Chinese restaurant, The Fortune Cookie. They had a fire a year or two ago and they never re-opened. It was the ONLY Chinese place I liked up here...and the family's kids were friends with my kids. They moved away. Rumor has it they might move back, but I dunno if they'll reopen. The restaurant still says it's for rent.

Anyway, the mural is cool. There's another mural a block away that my kids and I helped paint, along with a hundred other people, ha.

I spent a lot of time cleaning today. Someday, this house will have some sort of order to it...but in the meantime, it is not the most important thing.

Bambi, my two year old cocker spaniel, likes to lie on the top of the couch and look out the window. I tried to get a pic of her yawning because it is so cute, but for some reason she only yawned whenever I put the camera down away from my eye. Six times. Hmpf. I think she was playing with me...

Bad squirrel

I took this yesterday at work. But my computer wouldn't cooperate to let me post it.

The squirrels already broke one bird feeder since October. Well, at least the kids enjoy watching us chase the bad squirrels away!

It was 6 degrees Fahrenheit when I left for work this morning. I went outside for maybe 3 minutes to take pictures...and my fingers were red and raw and starting to hurt.

An Ice Age for the poor plastic dinosaurs in my yard.

Tomorrow is supposed to warm up to the 30s. And in a few days, we might hit 50. Man. I don't even know what to think.

Well, here we go, my first day:

This is the wall next to my computer desk. Artwork made by my kids (including cards they made back when I got 4th kyu), comic strips, and the Aikido Kyu Test Requirements. I know I'm finished with kyu tests, but I can't bring myself to take it down.
